Key decision makers, clinicians and academics joined people with dementia and carers on Friday 13th November at the Haelo Hosts ’15 conference, to discuss the opportunities to transform dementia care devolution presents.
Dementia United, the transformation programme which will aim to improve the lived experiences of people with dementia will formally launch in March 2016. To publicise this work getting underway, a new short film, website and Twitter account have been launched.

To bring to life the opportunity that we believe devolution presents to for dementia, we have made a short film. At the centre of the film are former nurse Lesley, who now lives with dementia, and her husband and carer Sam, residents here in Greater Manchester.
The film also hears from some of the key decision makers in Greater Manchester and leaders of the Dementia United project about their hopes and aspirations for this work.
We’ve tried to show in three minutes the once-in-a-generation opportunity this project presents to transform the lives of people affected by dementia.
